Italian Serie A side, AS Roma are ready to table an initial €15.5m bid for Nigerian international, Samuel Kalu.

There are reports that Roma sent scouts to view the Girondins de Bordeaux winger.

Kalu, 21, joined Bordeaux from KAA Gent this summer for €8.5m and has made a strong start in Ligue 1, scoring one goal and providing two assists in nine games.

His exploits in the Ligue 1 earned him national teal team call and has played for the Nigerian Super Eagles.

However, Roma will surely face competition from La Liga and Premier League sides as he is currently in the radar of a couple of teams.

Samuel Kalu's international journey:
*On 9 December 2015, Kalu signed a two-year contract for the Slovak side AS Trenčín. Kalu made his professional debut for AS Trenčín against ŠK Slovan Bratislava on 27 February 2016.

*On January 4, 2017 he joined Belgium top division club KAA Gent from AS Trencin.

*On 6 August 2018, Kalu signed for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, signing a five-year contract.

*On 13 October 2018, he scored his first international goal with the Nigeria senior national team against Libya. He scored the final goal in a 4–0 victory.

Opposition parties raise alarm over Buhari's plot to destabilize National Assembly

A Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have raised the alarm about plot to destabilise the leadership of the National Assembly tomorrow. Briefing journalists about the alleged plot yesterday in Abuja, CUPP spokesman, Ikenga Ugochinyere, disclosed that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has released funds for the plan.
