Buhari has to accept the challenge! Forever Atikulated #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain

The Economist warns Nigerians against returning Buhari.

Image
To the ever Atikulated Populace, this is another one...enjoy! Possibly assuming that the government, INEC, Police and Military agents, could rig the 2019 elections in favour of the incumbent President Buhari, the Economist predicted that the insecurity will remain high while standard of living will plummet lower. “Given the outlook for continuing political weakness, there is little prospect of progress in the fight against the Islamist insurgency in the north, nationalism in the oil-producing Delta and secessionism in the Biafra region. “Market-based reforms will languish, holding back growth yet again." The magazine’s other predictions for Nigeria are: GDP growth (1.9%); GDP per head $2; inflation 13.6%; Budget balance -2. 0; and population 201.0m. This clearly indicates that Nigeria will be worse off with another term for Buhari in 2019. To ensure that living in Nigeria does not become messier, Nigerians have only to ensure that they steer away from the unending sc

Beware of the press being gagged; the AUN experience!

Image
The management of American University of Nigeria (AUN) owned by Atiku Abubakar contacted Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). The management of the school wanted  NTA to broadcast 13th anniversary of the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola live to its audience so they asked for NTA's rate which was provided. The money  which was 7 million naira was paid into NTA account and the station acknowledged payment, also NTA  confirmed  the live broadcast of the programme between 4pm to 6pm on Saturday. On Saturday, NTA sent its Outside Broadcast (OB) deployed from Jos and they were on ground before the programme started, thinking they were about to go live. And then, an order came from Abuja that stopped NTA's staff in Yola  from going ahead to transmit the event. If not for the last minute decision to accommodate Sliverbird Television as the second network for live coverage by the organizers, folks that watched  the live program would not have been able to watch it.

Beware of Buhari's Next Level.

Image
Hey teeming fans and readers, I got this too, enjoy. He moved fuel prize from N87 to N145. What will the next level be? He moved exchange rate from N150 to N360. What will the next level be?  The Naira is rubbished as the worst performing currency in the world. What will the next level be? We are now the poverty headquarter of the world. What will the next level be? You started with mass killings of Moslems in Kaduna into mass killings of farmers in Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Adamawa etc etc. What will the next level be?  You lied about fighting corruption and went into state protection of corruption, for all suspects to take refuge by joining APC. What will the next level be? You met a debt burden of below N6t and increased our debt to N11 trillion. What will the next level be?  The agony of the present cluelessness is unending.  The next level under Buhari is a sure national disaster. God will not allow it. Join Atiku Abubakar to

PDP condemns Atiku's harassment at Abuja airport

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was harassed by some security agents at the Abuja airport on his return from Dubai. The party said this in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, on Sunday in Abuja. Ologbondiyan alleged that it was shocking when the “deadly squad” acting on ‘orders from above’ rushed Atiku immediately he landed at the airport. He alleged that the security operatives attempted to physically manhandle Abubakar  before invading his aircraft with arms to conduct a violent search. Ologbondiyan said that the PDP completely rejected such violence against the person of its presidential candidate. “The PDP is for peace, but we will not accept this recourse to violence”, adding that the alleged attack was an affront on the country’s democracy. Ologbondiyan recalled President Muhammad Buhari as a Presidential candidate,  had occasions to travel out of the co

I was harassed at Abuja airport — Atiku

Image
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, said on Sunday that security agents at the international airport in Abuja harassed him shortly after arriving in the country from a foreign trip. Abubakar has been away in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates capital, since mid-October when he proceeded on a vacation days after emerging victorious at the national convention of the PDP, Nigeria’s main opposition party. “I arrived to Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff,” Mr Abubakar said on his Twitter handle shortly before 4:00 p.m. Sunday. “I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of state who are paid to protect them.” Mr Abubakar did not immediately say which security agencies were responsible for the search he found objectionable, but immigration officials, State Security Service and the police are usually found at the airport for such searches. He also did n

2019: PDP Getting Stronger Despite APC’s Blackmail – Shehu Sani

Image
Senator representing Kaduna Central Zone, Shehu Sani, has said that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is getting stronger and stronger, despite the blackmail and intimidation from the ruling All Progressives Party )(APC). The senator, who recently dumped the ruling party to join the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), following his inability to secure APC’s return ticket during the last primary elections, said leaving the APC is like leaving the Boko Haram territory. “The difference between Boko Haram and APC is that in Boko Haram, we have Abubakar Shekau and in APC, there are so many of them,” he said. “First of all, anybody who says things are working right is only deceiving him/herself or trying to suppress the truth that cannot be suppressed. “There is no doubt that there are some achievements, in terms of completion of projects inherited and in the war against insurgency, but you can see for yourself that this country is more divided than before on ethno-religio

Pinnick Dismisses FIFA Leaks as Hopeless, Weak Documents!

Image
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has dismissed the so –called Football Leaks in which some persons who illegally hacked into private and official emails of FIFA personnel have been ‘releasing’ documents with the sole aim of impacting negatively on the image of the world football –ruling body. “The Leaks are hopelessly weak and it does not affect the fact that Africa sticks with Gianni,” Pinnick, who is also the 1st Vice President of the Confederation of African Football, has declared. “The entire NFF Executive Committee including myself remain avowed loyalists of Mr. Infantino and we will continue to give him support. “For us, the hawkers of these weak leaks are thoroughbred blackmailers whose objective is to try and smear the reputation of persons who are working so hard and diligently to reposition FIFA. Over the past three years, FIFA has embarked on a worthwhile journey to regain its integrity and credibility, and the works of the President,

Is he really the Buhari we know?

Image
Hey readers, I found this: Former Minister of Culture, Olufemi Olukayode has taken to Facebook to buttress Nnamdi Kanu’s claim of President Buhari being substituted with a double who now parades himself as the President. He highlighted some observations to support the claim. See the observations below. Been thinking… 1. Buhari went for surgery in January. 2. The story was that he didn’t quite make it and was brain-dead. 3. Aisha came back crying in April. 4. Aisha was later barred by Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari from seeing Buhari. 5. In June/July, Buhari started receiving visitors in London. 6. Story was that he was always laughing (methinks his double was still learning the ropes and was always laughing to hide what he didn’t know). 7. Buhari supposedly arrived Nigeria in July. 8. The Buhari wasn’t holding meetings or seen in public. 9. The Buhari became more vicious (even beyond his own evil threshold). 10. Nnamdi Kanu alleged he was Jubrin, buhari’s look-alike fr

2019 Presidential elections: Navigating the Atiku Way!

Image
The 2019 presidential definitely would be a keenly contested one with the former ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) primaries throwing up Atiku Abubakar as candidate to face the incumbent and All Progressives Congress(APC) flagbearer, Muhammadu Buhari...but let us take a look at the man, Atiku Abubakar. *This will be his fifth presidential contest having participated in all but one of the country’s presidential elections as an aspirant, candidate or vice-presidential candidate since 1993. *Atiku has strong political network across the country. *Atiku has a strong financial base...oh yes, he is believed to have a deep pocket and only one of few who could fund a robust presidential campaign against an incumbent. *Atiku is very liberal despite being Fulani Muslim. He has connected with many parts of Nigeria and his businesses are run by people from different parts of the country. He has family linkages across the three main parts of the country. His first wife, Titi

Samuel Kalu, the beautiful Nigerian football bride in hot demand

Image
Your dictionary defines bride as a woman who is about to be married or who is newlywed. However, in context, the word bride can go for a precious jewel in hot demand. Yes, we have a Nigerian now who is the beautiful bride being courted in football circles in Europe. Italian Serie A side, AS Roma are ready to table an initial €15.5m bid for Nigerian international, Samuel Kalu. There are reports that Roma sent scouts to view the Girondins de Bordeaux winger. Kalu, 21, joined Bordeaux from KAA Gent this summer for €8.5m and has made a strong start in Ligue 1, scoring one goal and providing two assists in nine games. His exploits in the Ligue 1 earned him national teal team call and has played for the Nigerian Super Eagles. However, Roma will surely face competition from La Liga and Premier League sides as he is currently in the radar of a couple of teams. Samuel Kalu's international journey: *On 9 December 2015, Kalu signed a two-year contract for the Slovak side AS Tre

Atiku will truly Restructure Nigeria

Image
Now, I got this from a friend....I was in a seminar in May this year where Atiku was present. He was asked to tell Nigerians how he planned restructuring Nigeria in the first one year in practical ways not just rhetorics. I was marvelled how Atiku responded. Atiku said that restructuring Nigeria is not rocket science. He made it categorically clear that the first major step at restructuring the country is to DECONGEST THE EXCLUSIVE LIST—handing over some of federal government responsibilities to states through constitutional amendment. He went further by saying that through the same constitutional amendment, some of the states responsibilities will be given to local governments that would become independent through the same alterations of the constitution. He said that this is one of the major reasons he would see National Assembly as partners in rebuilding Nigeria not political enemies. From that day on, Atiku won my heart. He made all the postulations extemporaneously—wi

Lopetegui, the new Spanish word for failure?

Image
Julen Lopetegui Argote was born in Asteasu in the Spanish province of Gipuzkoa on the 28th of August 1966 and yes, every parent would hope for the best in life for such a child on such occasions. Yes as a goalkeeper, he had dreams but the reality is that he never cut it big. Truth is that Lopetegui has always been a nearly man, gets close to actualizing his dreams only to receive rude awakenings. From his playing days at club level where he was just a member of the squad...oh yes, he was supremo at lowly Logrones and Castilla to making just one appearance for the senior national team, he always never hit it big. In 1985, he accepted an offer from Real Madrid, which immediately incorporated the 19-year-old to its B-team. After a loan spell at UD Las Palmas Lopetegui returned, but could never dislodge another veteran, Francisco Buyo. In 1994, Andoni Zubizarreta left for Valencia CF and Lopetegui felt it was a big opening to hit it big in a big club and joined FC Barcelona, ba

Atiku's academic qualifications & tax records intact with INEC...still no show from Buhari

Image
Various candidates’ credentials have been made available to journalists at INEC's office in Abuja and incumbent president, Buhari again failed to attach necessary supporting documents, insisting that they were in the custody of the military. In the affidavit which he swore to, Buhari said, “I am the above named person and the deponent of this affidavit herein. All my academic qualification documents as filled in my Presidential form, APC/001/2015 are currently with the Secretary of the Military Board as of the time of this affidavit. On his part, Atiku submitted all relevant documents, with a Diploma in Law in 1969 from the Ahmadu Bello University being his highest qualification. The former Vice-President also attached tax returns indicating that he had paid N10.8m in tax from 2015 to 2017 while declaring his income within the period as N60.2m. Almost 80 out of the 91 political parties will present presidential candidates during the 2019 Presidential elections. A vi

Free meal at McDonald's for Mourinho

Image
Poor results occasioned by internal wranglings, player versus manager row, manager versus player row, buck passing, negative energy. Surely that is the order of the day at Old Trafford. It definitely has to be. The fact is that football has really evolved and players have become even more powerful than ever now. Manchester United gaffer, Jose Mourinho would definitely have that ego clash with Paul Pogba. Pogba loves all the attention, he is 'African' and has so much swag. Mourinho equally loves it when he is 'the news'. Now there is a very huge difference in 'being in the news' and 'being the news'. I bet we get that right? Sure we do. So back to Jose and Pogba, it surely is a big issue but the solution is FREE! Before I get to the solution however, take a look at this particular scenario. United were two goals down to Newcastle United in a Premier League match and it really seemed nothing could be done. However, at halftime, Manchester United
